Keep on flossing!

You are FLOSS-some!

This bog is a gentle reminder to FLOSS!

I know, I know, I sound like a broken record. Honestly, though flossing has so many proven benefits.  I know it can be hard to acquire this discipline, but when you get in the groove (pun intended) you will be so glad that you did.

A few years ago, I got really into fitness and had a personal goal of competing in a 1/2 Ironman.  During my training, I really found a love for fitness.  I finally could relate to all of those 'gym rats'.  I had become one.  6-7 days a week I would push my body and see the result of health.  I was the healthiest I'd been in my entire life.  The same is true for flossing.  Get the workout on (flossing)!  At first your tissues will be sore and maybe even bleed, like your muscles when training.  After conditioning and consistency, you will see health in the place of inflammation and bleeding.  It's extremely gratifying.

Just like my journey with fitness, you can fall into a rut.  I haven't had the time or desire during our home building project to devote to working out.  As a result, to this lack of effort, the pounds have come back.  The same is true for your oral tissues.  You can have gingivitis reoccur when you get lazy.  Yep, I said it, LAZY. Flossing isn't hard and only takes a few seconds.  As so many people strive for health at the start of a new year, let me encourage you to do the same for your oral health.  You get out what you put in.

So, grab that floss and remember how awesome if feels when we brag on you at your hygiene visits.  Remember you are FLOSS-some.
